“Darn Ice dam ruined a wall next to my front door. Francis responded to my e mail very promptly, came to the house and bid the job and amazingly, completed it on time and on budget. Francis was very professional and obviously takes pride in his work. I would not hesitate to engage Francis again for future work or recommend him to friends and clients. Thank you Francis. I wish all contractors were as professional as he was.

The initial scope of work was to restore the look of all the base moulding in the entire house since it was recently purchased and new floors were installed requiring the removal and reinstallation of the existing floor moulding. Once the job was underway, it was decided to revitalize the entire houses wood moulding which included all windows, base floor moulding, doors and special treatment to front and back doors including replacing select pieces with newly finished wood to match the existing decor. Also, there were many blemishes from the age, settling, minor warpage, and use. Included in the concern were pet scratches that were on almost every door and door moulding.

Initial estimates included removing all the moulding and refinishing. Our recommendation was treatment with oils, stains wood filler and grain simulation. The entire house was revitalized in about two weeks.

Electrical Box Frame

The owner wanted to help the electrical panel in his hallway blend in more to the architecture, so we decided to create a frame that matches the existing architectural structures (windows and doors).

Back Door

The back door in the house had extensive pet scratches with deep grooves from repeated abuse. The left door was removed, received filler and was sanded out. Sanding sealer was applied to control the restaining of the sanded area and oil stains were mixed and matched to produce the ‘original’ appearance. The middle strip was replaced and also received the same treatment since it was a brand new unfinished piece of wood.

Laundry Room Door – Before

The laundry door is also the pathway to the garage which was exposed to the most wear of weather, access, pet damage, etc.

all blemishes were filled, grain simulation techniques were applied, lacquer sealer, gentle oil staining and finally a clear oil rub.

Goat/Chicken Shed: Jackson Hole Valley

This shed was in great need of refurbishment. First it was pressure washed and thoroughly scraped from top to bottom. Then a primer coat was applied and then the final coat of Cabot Stain. Strap hinge blocks all had to be custom made and installed as the present ones were cracked and falling apart. In the end, the chickens and the goat are happy for their new look.

Pressure washing and scraping… prep is the key item in any painting/refinishing job.

Grand Teton Property  Management: Custom Kitchen Shelf Insert with Woodgraining on MDF

This was a custom built shelf for an above sink installation that does not hinder or in any way alter the present construction or aesthetic of the cabinets. It is a drop installation hanging from two pieces of thick wire. The side of the drop and the front molding was hand painted to simulate the woodgrain of the cabinets. NOTE: The shelf was temporarily dropped to show the part of the MDF that did not receive the graining treatment.

We also designed the front molding to with spacers for an over-the-sink flourescent bulb installation that plugs into a local electrical outlet. The spacers provide indirect light to shine above the molding and direct light onto the sink and counter area.
